You Run the Marathon, We’ll Run the Event!

We can’t help with the running part, good gosh are you crazy? Trivia hosts make terrible athletes. But we can help you raise money with a trivia fundraiser. We host the game, you sell tickets to your supporters, and everyone has a great time.

Your goal? Run 26.2 miles and raise $5,000+ for an awesome charity. Our goal? Help you do it.

We’ve asked a bunch of runners what would make the perfect trivia fundraiser, and here’s what they said…

1) It should be affordable.

2) Lining up a venue for these things is a pain in the neck.

3) Securing prizes? Also a pain in the neck.

4) There should be a way to invite your supporters in other cities, not just those in Boston.

5) It has to be an awesome trivia game.

So, we set out to build the perfect event, something that would work for every price point, take the mental load off your shoulders, and ensure your guests have a great night. Here are some options we came up with…

1) The Co-Sponsor Model - starting at just $100

Instead of hiring us to run your own private trivia game, we invite you to co-hire us with other runners. In other words, you and several other runners split the cost, then we run one giant event for all of you. Even better, we’ll find those other runners for you.

We’ll send you info about three great venues, and the date each one is available to host a trivia fundraiser. You choose the one that works best for you and sell tickets to your community of supporters. Then, come the big day, we’ll host a trivia game for all the runners who signed up. Both venues have offered to pony up some gift cards for the winning teams, so you don’t even have to find prizes. Then, on a separate night, we’ll host another trivia game, only this one will be on Zoom, so you can invite all your friends who live in other cities (or those in Boston who are just too lazy to get off the couch).

$100 gets you spots for 5 teams in either the in-person game, the virtual one, or a mix of the two, and then it’s just another $20 for each additional team beyond that.

2) Your own private trivia fundraiser - $450

Or we can host a game just for you. And since it’s your game, you get to choose the categories. Are you a Celtics fan? We’ll have some questions about them. Love rom-coms? We can do that too. Host your game on Zoom or in-person, your choice.

Sadly, for the in-person option, we don’t already have venues lined up, but we are happy to send you the names of some of our favorite establishments to work with to see if you can find a day and time that’s right for you. Plus, we’ll give you $100 worth of tickets to any of our upcoming events that you can give away as prizes or as silent auction items.

3) The deluxe package - $700

We’ll host not one but TWO private events just for you. One in-person for your local friends and one on Zoom for your remote ones. At each game, we’ll give away $100 in free tickets to upcoming events we’re running. And oh yeah, we’ll custom build one of the game’s rounds around either you or your charity.

As for making sure the game itself is actually fun, we’ve got that covered too. We host private trivia events all the time and have gotten nothing but 5-star reviews. We’ve done events for Google, Spotify, Harvard, MIT, Blue Cross-Blue Shield, even Katie Couric herself. Our games feature a dashing host, great music, and a question set that’s the perfect level of difficulty with a few marathon-themed queries sprinkled in.
